For 22-year-old Zekrea Jubair from east London, style isn't about chasing every new drop — it's about wearing what feels authentic. "I wouldn't say I'm high fashion," he laughs. "I just wear what I see around me. Proper UK streetwear."
Zekrea's wardrobe is built on simple yet unique staples — Nike Tech tracksuits, adidas trainers, side pouches worn crossbody, and the occasional Gucci belt to finish it off. "Everyone's had that phase," he says. "You save up, buy something designer, and mix it with your everyday more basic stuff. That's normal where I'm from."
Recently, he's been leaning into a subtle retro vibe. "Old-school windbreakers, vintage football shirts, even trench coats when it's cold. I like that 90s and early 2000s look — it's simple but stands out." He says artists like J Hus have influenced how UK streetwear is styled today. "It's still tracksuits and trainers, but cleaner. More put together."
For Zekrea, streetwear reflects environment. "If you walk through London you'll definitely notice how common Nike and adidas are worn with pouches, tracksuits, coats and everything. That's our culture. It's comfortable, it's practical, and it's us."
"Look good, feel comfortable, keep it classic."
